Norwich City vs Blackpool Match Analysis & Prediction

08/05/2023 5:00 pm

Monday afternoon’s match at Carrow Road will mark the conclusion of disappointing Championship campaigns for Norwich City and Blackpool.
The host team will probably need to win to place in the top 10 of the standings, while the visitors may reasonably expect to finish no higher than 23rd.
When Norwich first returned to the Championship under Dean Smith’s leadership, they were considered heavy favorites to win a quick promotion to the Premier League.
On the other hand, the Canaries have fallen short of expectations, missing the playoffs at the start of the year and only creating one notable unbeaten stretch under David Wagner.
It should be no surprise that Blackpool has been demoted before the season’s final weekend after failing to win consecutive games since October.
That is not to suggest that Stephen Dobbie, the interim manager, has not made an impact since he has led the team to two victories in his five games in command.
Norwich City vs. Blackpool Head to head
Both sides have four games against each other with hosts taking three wins and hosts with one draw.

Josh Sargent might be shifted to the right side to make room for the returning Pukki down the center.
Jacob Sorensen could fill in for Sam Byram in central defense if Marcelino Nunez plays in the middle of the field.

Blackpool Team News
Dobbie might decide to recall Callum Connolly or Sonny Carey instead of Charlie Patino, who is on loan from Arsenal, and place him on the bench for substitutes.
Unless Josh Bowler is given the start on the right side of midfield, the rest of the Blackpool starting lineup might remain the same.
