Norway vs Georgia Match Analysis & Prediction
12/09/2023 9:45 pm
Norway will be looking to record just their second victory in Group A when they continue their Euro 2024 qualification campaign at home to Georgia on Tuesday night.
The hosts are currently third in the section on four points, two points behind second-placed Spain, while the visitors are fourth, having also collected four points from their opening four matches.
Norway have found it difficult in Group A so far, winning just one of their four matches, with a total of four points leaving them in third place in the section.
Stale Solbakken’s side are just two points behind second-placed Spain – who have a game in hand – and Norway could quickly find themselves out of contention if they are unable to put together a run of positive results.
Norway suffered a 3-0 defeat to Spain in their Group A opener before drawing with Georgia and losing to Scotland in their next two, but they defeated Cyprus 3-1 in their last game in the section.
The Lions were in friendly action last week, claiming a 6-0 victory over Jordan, so they will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Georgia will enter this contest off the back of a 7-1 defeat to Spain, which left them in fourth position in Group A on four points, behind Norway on goal difference.
Willy Sagnol’s side started well, drawing 1-1 at home to Norway at the end of March before claiming a 2-1 victory over Cyprus in their second game in the section in the middle of June.
However, Georgia lost 2-0 away to Scotland in their third game, before conceding seven in a stunning defeat to Spain on Friday.
