Yokohama FM will look to keep the pressure on league leaders in J1 League when they take on Niigata at the Denka Big Swan Stadium in their Matchday 13 tie on Sunday morning.
J1 League reigning champions started well their defence of the title and are now just four points behind league leaders Vissel Kobe. Kevin Vincent Muscat’s side have been flying high recently, winning four of their last five games across all competitions and should keep the momentum on Sunday. They are unbeaten in the last four games against Niigata.
Niigata have endure a difficult campaign so far, picking up 13 points from 12 games and now sit 14th in the league standings, two places and two points above the relegation zone.
They have failed to win in their last four league games, losing three in row in the process before drawing 0-0 with Kashiwa last time out. They will look to build on the draw as they seek to bounce back to winning ways, but face an uphill task on Sunday that will need a lot of effort to get something out of.
