Livingston and Hibernian will be seeking a return to winning ways when they lock horns at the Tony Macaroni Arena on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Livingston have made a disappointing campaign this season winning just three of their 16 matches, picking up four draws while suffering nine defeats in the process. They currently occupy the 11th spot in on 13 points in the relegation zone with three points adrift of safety.
David Martindale’s men are in poor form having won none of their last six matches in the Premiership, picking up three draws and three draws in the run. They head into the match on the back of three consecutive defeats including 3-1 to Rangers, 2-0 to Aberdeen and 1-0 to Hearts in their last league match.
Livingstone were made to regret not taking the lead when they were considerably better than Hearts in the first half on Sunday as they were caught by a sucker bunch by Hearts who had goalkeeper Craig Gordon to thank as usual.
Livingston will therefore need to find some inspiration from somewhere and fast is they are to end their dreadful run and get themselves out of the drop zone.
Meanwhile Hibernian have also struggled this season with the club claiming five wins, four draws and six defeats in their 15 matches to collect 19 points that have them sitting in the bottom half with two points six-placed Aberdeen.
Hibs continued their inconsistent form last weekend when they held to a 1-1 draw by Motherwell at home. The draw meant that Hibs have now just won one of their last eight Premiership matches, while have suffered six defeats in the eight matches.
Therefore, Hibernian will look to put an end to their slump and with Aberdeen sitting just a point above them means Hibs will be desperate for a win in this match as a positive result will them move back into the top-half with a point above Aberdeen and still with a game in hand.
However, Hibs have failed to keep a clean sheet since September and will thus need to score more than once in order to secure the vital three points.
