The hosts are currently occupying ninth position in the table, six points outside the playoff spots, while Cambridge sit 19th, five points clear of the relegation zone.
Lincoln’s form in 2024 has been excellent, with the Imps currently on an 11-game unbeaten run in League One, recording six victories in the process.
Michael Skubala’s side have won four of their last five league matches, including a 5-1 victory at fifth-placed Barnsley on Saturday, which certainly sent out a message to the rest of the division.

Lincoln have picked up 28 points from their 18 home league matches this season, while they are unbeaten on home turf in League One since the end of last year.
Meanwhile, Cambridge will enter the contest off the back of a 1-1 draw with Northampton Town on Saturday, which brought an end to a four-game losing run in League One.
The team’s form at this stage of the campaign is concerning, losing six of their last eight, which has seen them drop into 19th place in the standings, picking up 39 points from 36 matches.
Cambridge are just five points clear of the relegation zone, and they have another four matches to come before the end of the month against Lincoln, Reading, Wycombe Wanderers and Barnsley.
Garry Monk’s side have really struggled on their travels this season, picking up just 13 points from 17 matches, recording just three wins in the process, which is the third-worst record in League One.
