Following the postponement of their opening Liga MX fixture Leon will open their 2022/2023 campaign when they welcome Necaxa to Estadio Leon in the league second round on Tuesday morning.
Leon had a poor campaign in the Clausura last season with the side finishing 13th on 21 points from 17 games. They did well in the Apentura though and fished third. They will be looking for good showing the Clausura this season and they will now how crucial a fast start will be.
Therefore, Nicolas Larcamon’s side will be looking for all three points on Tuesday, and they should be confident having gone unbeaten in their last four home games against Necaxa.
Necaxa opened their Clausura campaign with a 3-2 home defeat to San Luis last Wednesday morning. They will be looking to avoid a second consecutive defeat at the start of the campaign, but they have poor on the road recently, going winless in their last 10 away games..
They did win the last time they met Leon, although Leon have been dominating this fixture recently and it will a tough time for the visitors on Wednesday.
