Both Kawasaki and Tokyo will b looking to return to winning ways when they face off at the Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium in their J1 League Matchday 27 tie on Friday afternoon.
Kawasaki suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Cerezo Osaka in their previous league fixture, and have now won just one of their last six games across all competitions. The only win came in penalties over Niigata in the quarter finals of the Emperor Cup.
They league form has been deteriorating lately having lost four of their last five games and the only match that did not end in defeat was a 2-2 draw against Sapporo. They are now ninth, level on 33 points with their Saturday visitors and will hope to end the slump as they look to stay above Tokyo.
Tokyo have not had it better either, with the side getting eliminated from the League cup after a 2-1 aggregate defeat to Avispa in the quarter finals. They were also slumbering in the league campaign before the International break, going winless in three fixtures.
