Tokyo will be looking to make it back to back victories on the bounce in J1 League when they visit a high-flying Kashima at the Kashima Stadium in their Matchday 14 tie on Saturday.
After a shaky start to the campaign, Kashima look to have found their feet and will want to keep thing flowing. They are coming off a 2-0 win over Nagoya which extended their winning streak to five league fixtures and have now won six of their last seven games in J1 League.
The run has seen them ascend the league table and are currently fifth-placed on 22 points from 13 games. Seven points separate them and league leaders Vissel Kobe, but they are just two points off second-placed Yokohama FM. Therefore another victory could see them climb second in the league standings and being the most inform team in the league, confidence should be high among the hosts.
Tokyo, meanwhile, have been inconsistent so far in the campaign this season and at the moment they sit 11th on 18 points from 13 games. They picked up a 2-1 win over Kawasaki last time out which saw them bounce back from a two-game losing steak.
They will look to build on the victory a seek to improve their position in the standings, but they are coming up against the most inform side in J1 on the road and will need a lot of effort to come away with all three points.
