Istanbul Basaksehir vs Eyupspor Match Analysis & Prediction

After suffering defeat in their last Turkish Super Lig match, Istanbul Basaksehir will be looking to quickly bounce back when they face Eyupspor at Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu on Monday evening.
Basaksehir were beaten 5-1 by Slovenian side Celje in a Conference League encounter on Thursday, leaving them without a win after two games in the tournament.
The Grey Owls conceded as early as the fifth minute, and to make matters worse, manager Cagdas Atan was sent off after just 25 minutes into a game that his side looked best for 90 minutes.
It has been a week to forget for Basaksehir who conceded a 91st-minute goal to lose 1-0 to Trabzonspor in the Super Lig last Saturday, and eventually slipped to sixth position after playing eight games.
Basaksehir are back at home where they have not lost in the Super Lig this season, winning two and drawing one, and they will hope to harness home support to push them to a win over a side they have never lost to on home soil across all competitions.
Eyupspor will hope to secure a first win away at Basaksehir in what will be their first-ever top-flight encounter between the two sides, although they have met nine times in the past across the second and third tiers, as well as friendlies and one cup tie.
A first-half goal from Ahmed Kutucu was enough to secure a 1-0 victory over Goztepe last time out, which took the club to fifth position with 15 points, one point and place above the hosts, who have played a game fewer.
Eyupspor are two points behind fourth-placed Fenerbahce, and victory here could take them into the top four if the result in the Fenerbahce against Borum match favours them.
However, Arda Turan’s side have lost 2-1 in each of their last two away matches, and will have to end a two-game losing run on their travels while securing a second away win this season.
