Inter Milan will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in Serie A when they welcome Empoli to Guiseppe Meazza for their Matchday 36 tie on Friday night with kickoff at 19:45 EAT.
Inter Milan had finally claimed the advantage in this season’s Scudetto race following a five-match winning streak, but a shocking a 2-1 defeat at Bologna last month on 27 saw the champions fall behind their city rivals AC Milan.
However, Simone Inzaghi’s side managed to get their title push back on track with a 2-1 win at Udinese last Saturday. They now sit two points behind Milan and with only three games remaining Inter need to win all their remaining fixtures and hope the Rossoneri will drop points in their run.

Meanwhile, Empoli continued their inconsistent campaign last time out as they fell to a 3-1 defeat to Torino at home last Saturday. They were freshly off a 3-2 thrilling victory over Napoli that had ended their 17-match winless run across competitions.
They currently sit 14th in the Serie A standings, with some 11 points above the relegation zone, meaning that that they have already ensured their survival with three matches still to go. They have nothing to fight for in this match but Aurelio Andreazzoli will want to finish the season the high.
