Hull City vs Fulham Match Analysis & Prediction
07/01/2023 6:00 pm
Marco Silva travells with Fulham to his former club Hull City on Saturday for a game in the third round of the FA Cup.
Both clubs enter the contest in excelleent form, the hosts having recently moved away from the Championship relegation zone and the visitors challenging for a top-six spot in the Premier League.
After three successive draws, Hull City have beaten Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic away from home to now sit seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Although the Tigers are now closer to the playoffs than the relegation zone in terms of points, head coach Liam Rosenior will certainly not be getting carried away by his side posting back-to-back victories for the first time since the middle of October.
That is particularly the case due to the home form, with Hull City only defeating bottom-placed Wigan Athletic in front of their own supporters since the start of September.
Although Fulham began the season simply looking to avoid relegation, Silva and his side are already at a stage where they can focus on far higher targets.
A three-game winning streak sees Silva’s side currently sit in seventh place in the top flight, 13 points clear of the bottom three.
Last time out, Aleksander Mitrovic scored the only goal of the game in a victory at Leicester City, the Serbia international now having 11 goals in the Premier League during 2022-23.
