Verona vs Bologna Match Analysis & Prediction

Hellas Verona play host to Bologna in Serie A, with both sides in the league’s top half heading into Monday’s meeting at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.
Verona lost their perfect record before the international break, suffering a 3-1 defeats at Sassuolo in gameweek three.
Marco Baroni’s side beat Empoli and Roma in their opening two matches, with the latter success against Jose Mourinho’s side especially pleasing.
They welcome Bologna to the Bentegodi, looking to pick up their second home victory of the season, which would see them extend their unbeaten run in front of their fans to three games.
Meanwhile, Bologna’s four points from their opening three matches was a decent return before the hiatus for Thiago Motta’s side, who beat newly-promoted Cagliari 2-1.
Bologna have had a tough start, facing AC Milan and Juventus in the first two gameweeks, and picking up a point at the Allianz Stadium was commendable.
The Rossoblu have a four-game unbeaten away run – that started with a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo in early May – with two victories and as many draws giving Motta’s side much-needed confidence.
Verona vs. Bologna Head to head
In the 28 previous meetings between these two teams, Verona have claimed six victories while Bologna have won 15, and they have drawn in seven. Bologna have scored 44 goals and conceded 27 in the process.
