Both Hartlepool and Solihull Moors will be looking to secure a place in the second round of the FA Cup when they face off at the Victoria Park Hartlepool in first-round replay.
The two sides could not be separated in the first game as they played out a 2-2 draw at Solihull Moors earlier this month. They will now face off in replay as they both hope to extend their cup run as long as they can this season.
Both sides had setbacks in their warm-up fixtures heading into the Tuesday’s clash, with Hartlepool suffering a 1-0 defeat at Stevenage in League One last weekend, while Solihull Moors recorded back-to-back home defeats to Halifax Town (1-0) and Dagenham (3-0) in the National League.
Therefore both sides will need to use this fixture to returning to winning ways and build some confidence for their respective league campaigns. The Pools needed this fixture to get their affairs in order as they have been poor in League Two with the side sitting second from bottom on the table.
While Solihull Moors have dipped in their National League form following a good start and a win this fixture will be crucial to their confidence and getting their league campaign back on track.
