League Two side Harrogate Town welcome Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers to EnviroVent Stadium in the second round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
The hosts secured a 1-0 victory over Carlisle United in the first round, while the visitors came out on the right end of a seven-goal thriller with Walsall.
Harrogate Town head into Wednesday’s contest off the back of a 2-0 victory over 10-man Morecambe, with Luke Armstrong and George Thomson getting on the scoresheet.
Simon Weaver’s side have made an inconsistent start to the 2023-24 season, as they have recorded three wins and three losses across all competitions, keeping three clean sheets while also conceding six goals.

Rovers won the EFL Cup back in 2002 but have failed to reach the quarter-finals in any of the previous 11 seasons, falling in the second round on four occasions since 2012.
