Guangzhou FC vs Shandong TaiShan Match Analysis & Prediction

Guangzhou FC will be looking for a victory that will help them end a run of five straight matches without a win in the Chinese Super League, when the play host to Shandong TaiShan at the Jinjiang Football Training Center Stadium on Thursday.
The hosts are currently sitting in 15th place in the league table, having played 30 matches to collect 17 points, and they are just one point outside of the relegation zone as the Chinese Super League nears its conclusion.
Guangzhou FC head into the contest off the back of a goalless draw with Guangzhou City, which is their second successive goalless stalemate, and despite having kept clean sheets in both occasions, they also failed in the final third of the field, which is not an ideal preparation against a Shandong TaiShan side thriving at the upper echelons of the table.

Now off the back of a two-game winless run, Shandong TaiShan will be looking to bounce back to winning ways and sit level on points with Wuhan Three Towns – having played a game fewer than the league leaders – and they will feel that this is an ideal opportunity to do so as they are facing a struggling Guangzhou FC side.
