Grasshoppers vs Luzern Match Analysis & Prediction

13/05/2023 7:00 pm

Both Grasshoppers and Luzern will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Swiss Super League when they face off at the Letzigrund in their Matchday 33 tie on Saturday night.
Grasshoppers seem to have hit a bit of a slump in the recent weeks, with the side conceding three defeats in their last five league outings. They are now six points off the top four and will need to win all their remaining three games to have a chance at finishing in the European places.
They face an uphill task on Saturday in form of Luzern, who they have failed to beat in the last 16 fixtures across all competitions and the last Grasshoppers win at home against Luzern came in 2017.
The visitors are also in a better form as they have only lost one in the last five league games, amassing three wins in the run and the only defeat was against the league leader Young Boys. Luzern occupy the last European spot in the league standings, four points above fifth-placed Basel and will hope to seal the deal on Saturday.
