Both Gamba Osaka and Sagan Tosu will be looking for their opening win of the 2023 J1 League campaign when they lock horns at the Panasonic Stadium Suita in their round two tie on Saturday morning.
Gamba opened with a 2-2 at Kashiwa, while Tosu went down to a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Shonan at home. These two will be targeting a top half finish this season with both finishing outside top 10 last season.
A good start is quite vital for these two who will not want to be caught in an early relegation battle. Last season Tosu completed a double on their Saturday opponents wining 2-1 at home and 3-0 on the road. They will be hoping for similar results this season, but will need to be on top of their game.
