Galatasaray vs Ankara Keciorengucu Match Analysis & Prediction

Galatasaray will be looking to get back to competitive action in style when they play host to Ankara Keciorengucu at NEF Stadyumu in the Turkish Cup on Thursday.
While the hosts took the break from the Turkish Super Lig due to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the visitors continued proceedings in 1. Lig.
Galatasaray were last in competitive action on November 12, where they claimed a huge 7-0 victory over Istabul Basaksehir, which saw them extend their unbeaten run across all competitions to six, with the last time they lost coming on October 15, suffering a 2-1 league defeat to Kayserispor.
However, things have not been going as smooth for Galatasaray during the warm-up period, where they recorded one draw, three losses and just one win from their five friendly matches.
They suffered two successive defeats to Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal before playing out a 2-2 draw with Adana Demirspor. They then went on to suffer a 2-1 defeat to Lazio, but they bounced back in their last preparation match, beating Toulouse 2-1.
Galatasaray now get back to competitive duties against Ankara Keciorengucu on Thursday, after which they will resume proceeding in the Super Lig with a home encounter with Istanbulspor on Christmas Day, a division where they are currently second on 27 points, two points behind leaders Fenerbahce after 13 matches.
Meanwhile, Ankara Keciorengucu enter the contest sitted in sixth place in the 1. Lig table, just one point above seventh-placed Bandirmaspor, the last team inside the playoff spots.
Unlike their hosts, the visitors were busy in their domestic campaign, where they enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Yeni Malatyaspor on December 17, ending their four-game unbeaten run in the league.
Keciorengucu claimed a 4-2 victory over Kartal Bulvaspor in their last game in the Cup, and as they have been busy in competitive matches – unlike their opponents – they will be confident that they can cause an upset against the top-tier side on Thursday.
The visitors will be hoping that they will pick up a positive result here, which will provide them with the momentum to get back to winnng ways in 1. Lig when they resume duties with a home encounter with Eyupspor on Christmas Day.
