Fenerbahce vs Sivasspor Match Analysis & Prediction
04/12/2023 8:00 pm
Fenerbahce will be looking to reclaim first place in the Turkish Super Lig table when they host Sivasspor at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Monday.
The round 14 match could see the hosts claim their seventh win in front of their fans, while their visitors aim for another encouraging result to continue their impressive away record.
Fenerbahce have had an impressive start to the domestic campaign but have struggled to replicate that in Europe lately, with Thursday’s 6-1 defeat at Nordsjaelland leaving them third in their Europa Conference League group.
With Galatasaray claiming a 2-0 victory at relegation-threatened Pendikspor on Saturday, Ismail Kartal’s side are three points behind their Istanbul rivals before taking to the pitch on Monday.
Meanwhile, the mid-table Sivasspor side will hope to worsen the misery of their hosts by producing a top performance in Istanbul.
The precedent does favour Servet Cetin’s side, who have lost just one of their recent four Super Lig visits to Fenerbahce, even if that was their last visit in November 2022.
That 1-0 defeat ended Sivasspor’s three-game unbeaten run – two wins – against the Yellow Canaries, and they seek to shock their more illustrous hosts yet again in gameweek 14.
