FC Koln vs Wolfsburg Match Analysis & Prediction

25/02/2023 5:30 pm

FC Koln and Wolfsburg are separated by four points in the Bundesliga table ahead of their showdown at RheinEnergieStadion on Saturday afternoon. The Wolves, who have lost three of their last four games, occupy seventh place in the standings, while Koln sits 12th – seven points clear of the relegation zone.
FC Koln suffered their first season loss last weekend, falling 3-0 to VfB Stuttgart despite seeing more of the ball at Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Still, Steffen Baumgart’s men will be confident of getting back on track this weekend after enjoying plenty of success since the turn of the year.
It is worth remembering that Koln returned from the winter break with a 7-1 victory over Werder Bremen before holding Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw at Allianz Arena.
Wolfsburg looked destined to push for a European place when they chalked up a 10-game unbeaten streak between October and January.
They registered six consecutive wins during that period, collecting four victories before the winter break before scoring 11 goals across wins against SC Freiburg and Hertha Berlin.
However, the Wolves have taken a discernible turn for the worse since then; they have collected only one point from their last four games.
FC Koln vs. Wolfsburg Head to head
Both sides have 27 games against each other with hosts taking eight wins while visitors with eleven and eight draws.
