Two League One teams will meet in the secong round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, with Exeter City hosting Stevenage at St James Park.
Both sides have made strong starts to their league campaigns, with Exeter sitting second in the table on 10 points, while Stevenage are fifth, also picking up 10 points from their first five games.
Exeter City will enter this contest off the back of successive victories, beating Carlisle United 2-0 on August 19 before securing a 2-1 victory over Reading on Saturday.
Gary Caldwell’s side are present in the second round of the EFL Cup through a 2-1 victory over Crawley Town in the first round of the competition.
Meanwhile, Stevenage will enter the game off the back of a goalless draw against Portsmouth in League One on Saturday, which moved them onto 10 points from their five matches this season.
Steve Evans’ side claimed a scalp in the first round of this season’s EFL Cup, beating Championship side Watford on penalties following a 1-1 draw.
Stevenage have actually won three of their last four matches in the League Cup, but their recent record against Exeter is increadibly poor, securing just one victory against the Grecians since December 2014.
