Estoril Praia will be looking to end their 10-game winless run when theyr play host to Casa Pia at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota in round 16 of the Primeira Liga on Monday.
Meanwhile, the visitors secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Taca de Portugal last time out and will be looking to continue on the right track.
Estoril were denied a good start to the new year as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Arouca when the sides met last Saturday, with forward Oday Dabbagh scoring either side of the half-time break for the Arouquenses.
Nelson Verissimo’s side have now failed to win any of their last 10 matches across all competitions, claiming three draws and losing seven since October’s 3-2 victory at Amora FC in round three of the Taca de Portugal.
The poor run has seen Estoril crash out of the Taca da Liga after finishing rock-bottom in Group H, while they have now lost each of their last three league matches since the start of November.
With 16 points from 14 matches, the Canarinhos are currently 14th in the league standings, four points above the relegation zone, although with one game in hand.
Casa Pia continue to march on in the Taca de Portugal race as they claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Vitoria de Setubal in their round-of-16 tie on Thursday.
Felipe Martin’s side now return to the Primeira Liga, where they have enjoyed a fine first half of the season, picking up 27 points from 15 matches to sit fifth in the table, one point off fourth-placed Sporting Lisbon.
Casa Pia head into the contest unbeaten in four of their last five league matches, claiming three wins and one draw, with a 2-1 home defeat to Chaves on November 13 being the exception.
