Playoff hopefuls Doncaster will look to make it back-to-back wins in League Two when they welcome Harrogate to Eco-Power Stadium for their round 22 tie on Saturday evening.
After suffering back-to-back defeats to Colchester (3-0) and Walsall (2-0), Doncaster found a way to bounce back in hard-fought 1-0 win over Newport County at away.
The saw them climb into the 10th spot in the league standing, where they stand on 31 points from 21 fixtures. Heading into the weekend’s clash Danny Schofield’s side sit only two points outside the top six.
They will therefore look to climb into the playoff-places with a another positive result at home on Saturday. They have lost their last home games though, and will need to play at the top of the game here if they are to beat a determined Harrogate side.
Simon Weaver’s Harrogate had a poor start to the campaign, with the side spending sometime in the relegation zone.
However, crucial back-to-back wins over Mansfield (3-0) and Rochdale (4-1) have seen them climb into the 20th position in the league standings with now five points above the bottom two.
Harrogate will now look to maintain their new found momentum as they seek to climb even further away from the danger zone.
