Manchester United will look to extend their winning streak to 10 games when they visit Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Wednesday.
The Red Devils beat bitter rivals Manchester City 2-1 on Saturday, while Patrick Vieira’s side lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the local derby.
Although Crystal Palace dominated Chelsea for much of the match, the Eagles fell short as Chelsea edged Sunday’s London derby.
Kai Havertz’s header in the 64th minute proved the difference as Chelsea defeated Palace 1-0 and condemned the Eagles to a third straight loss in all competitions.
Once a surprise package in the Premier League, Crystal Palace sits 12th in the table and six points off the top half, albeit with a game in hand on Chelsea.
In Saturday’s Manchester derby, Jack Grealish headed Manchester City into the lead before Bruno Fernandes controversially leveled after Marcus Rashford was deemed not to have been interfering with play.
The England international then scored a perfectly good goal in the dying embers to turn the Old Trafford clash on its head.
This sealed a ninth successive victory in all tournaments for Manchester United, whose fans may allow themselves to dream of Premier League title glory after closing the gap on the reigning champions.

Injury was added to insult for Palace in their defeat to Chelsea, as ever-present center-back Joachim Andersen came off with a calf problem in the first half.
The injury will keep Andersen sidelined for Wednesday’s match against his former employers, but it is unknown how long he will be out. In other news, James McArthur and Nathan Ferguson are Palace’s only long-term absentees.

Manchester United Team News
Manchester United will be without striker Marcus Rashford and winger Jadon Sancho for their clash with Manchester City, who are also unlikely to have right-back Diogo Dalot back from a hamstring injury just yet. This means a start for ex-Eagles right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka should be in order.
