Cremonese vs Juventus Match Analysis & Prediction
04/01/2023 8:30 pm

Looking to continue their ascent of the Serie A standings, Juventus hope to pick up where they left off before the break when they visit Cremonense on Wednesday.
Cremonese enter Wednesday’s contest having not won anywhere in the league this season and have never before defeat the Old Lady in Italy’s top flight.
Each of the last three teams without a victory after 15 Serie A matches eventually finished last and were relegated, so manager Massimiliano Alvini has his work cut out to defy suce precedent in the second half of the season.
Alvini’s side are 18th in the standings, having finally returned to Serie A after more that two decades away, with fellow strugglers Sampdoria and Hellas Verona keeping them company in a somewhat detached bottom three.
With seven draws from their matches so far, Cremonese are six points behind 17th-placed Spezia, and it has been an inability to score goals which has seen them take a single point on several occasions when they were perhaps within range.
Meanwhile, Juventus ended their competitive campaign for 2022 on a high, and dreams of a Scudetto challenge are even back on the agenda heading into the new year.
The Old Lady still have a 10-point deficit to make up to runaway leaders Napoli, though reigining champions Milan are a more manageable two points ahead in second place.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side have put together such a fine run of form without conceding a single goal in the process, and the last time they registered more clean-sheet victories consecutively was back in 2018, during Allegri’s super-successful first reign at the club.
Cremonese vs. Juventus Head to head
In the previous six encounters between these two teams in Serie A, Juventus have claimed four victories while they have drawn twice. Cremonese have scored six goals and conceded 12 in the process.
