Celtic vs St Johnstone Match Analysis & Prediction
24/12/2022 3:30 pm
Celtic will welcome St Johnstone to Celtic Park for their Scottish Premiership Matchday 18 on Saturday afternoon.
Celtic have been impressive in the Premiership this season with the side now leading the standings nine points clear of their closest rivals Rangers in second.
Despite having now won all their last 10 league games, Celtic’s manager Ange Postecouglou expressed disappointment as his side passed up a hatful of chances against Livingston and ended up only winning 2-1.
They had previously needed a late goal from Callum McGregor to beat Aberdeen at Pittodrie despite near-total domination for 90 minutes. He will be expecting a more clinical play from his side in this encounter, but they need to vigilant against a St Johnstone side, who seem to be heading in the right direction.
The Saints claimed a 2-1 win over Ross County last time out, extending their unbeaten run to six games in the Premiership – a run that has left them sitting fifth three points above the bottom half of the table.
They will look to give Celtic a run for their money here, but they will careful knowing that the last time they visited Celtic Park they were beaten 7-0.
