Casa Pia will be looking for a win that will move them into the Champions League spots in the Primeira Liga when they play host to Chaves at Estadio Nacional on Sunday.
Following their promotion to the top flight, both sides are doing more than enough in the opening stages of this campaign to keep themselves away form a relegation battle at the wrong end of the table.
After picking up one point from their first two league matches this season, it looked like Casa Pia would be involved in a scrap to maintain their top-tier status after being promoted as runners-up of the second division in Portugal.
However, Filipe Martins’ side are currently sitting fourth in the Primeira Liga standings, sandwiched between Sporting Braga and Sporting Lisbon after collecting 23 points from their first 12 games.

They have picked up 16 points from their opening 12 matches, with an equal amount of wins, defeats and draws heading into the encounter with Casa Pia on Sunday.
Victor Campelos’ side are now have a seven-point gap to Gil Vicente in the relegation playoff spot, which is not quite the remarkable 14-point gap Casa Pia possess, but still represents a successful start to a first season back in the top flight.
Despite currently being away form relegation worries, Chaves have shown that they are vulnerable to a defeat from the bigger clubs in the division.
