Os Gansos head into the contest unbeaten in each of their last five home matches across all competitions since the start of September and will be looking to extend this fine run.

Casa Pia failed to move into the top half of the Primeira Liga standings on Monday as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Porto when the sides met at Estadio do Dragao.

Having failed to win any of the previous five encounters between the two sides since December 2019, Casa Pia went into the game looking to get one over Porto but goals from Fabio Vieira and Samu Omorodion saw the Dragoes extend their run in this fixture.

With Monday’s result, Joao Pereira’s side have failed to win all but one of their most recent seven Primeira Liga matches – losing twice and securing draws – with a 1-0 victory over newly-promoted Nacional being the exception.

AVS have now lost three matches on the bounce, including a surprise 3-2 defeat to Campeonato de Portugal side Lusitano Evora, and have failed to win their last six, losing five and drawing one since October’s 2-0 victory over OS Sandinenses in the cup.
