19/09/2023 9:45 pm

Bristol City will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship when they host Plymouth Argyle at Ashton Gate Stadium on Tuesday night.
The hosts will enter the contest off the back of a goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, while Plymouth suffered a 2-1 defeat to Preston North End on the same day.
Bristol City have made a solid start to the 2023-24 campaign, having a record of two wins, three draws and one loss from their opening six Championship matches to collect nine points, which has left them in 11th place in the table.
The Robins have already been knocked out of the EFL Cup this season, so their focus is firmly on the Championship at the moment, and they have managed to pick up four points from their last two matches.
Meanwhile, Plymouth secured a place in the Championship for the 2023-24 campaign through their League One success last season, finishing top of the pile with 101 points from their 46 matches.
The Pilgrims have picked up seven points from their six matches through a record of two wins, one draw and three losses, which has left them in 14th place in the table.
However, Steven Schumacher’s side have lost four of their last five matches across all competitions, including a 2-1 defeat to Preston on Saturday, which followed a 3-0 home victory over Blackburn Rovers.
