Birmingham City will be looking to extend their winning streak when they host Cardiff City at St Andrew’s on Tuesday night in the Championship.
The Blues won a West Midlands derby against West Bromwich Albion on Friday night, whereas Cardiff’s terrible form continued with a defeat to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Birmingham City completed a double over local rivals West Bromwich Albion for the first time since 1999 after defeating Carlos Carberan’s Baggies 2-0 at St. Andrews in the second-tier English football.
Hannibal Mejbri and Krystian Bielik scored either side of half-time to earn back-to-back maximums for John Eustace’s men and lift the team to 17th place in the Championship standings.
That victory has lifted Birmingham nine points clear of the relegation zone with eight games left on their schedule.
Cardiff’s poor form continued on Saturday afternoon as they fell to a fourth-consecutive defeat in the Championship at the hands of Michael Carrick’s promotion-chasing Middlesbrough side.
The Bluebirds scored for the first time in that quartet of fixtures – Sory Kaba netting for the hosts at Cardiff City Stadium after 25 minutes.
However, strikes from Marcus Forss, Cameron Archer, and former Birmingham player Riley McGree put the game beyond Cardiff.

Cardiff City Team News
Cardiff has struggled to create clear-cut chances since the injury of full-back Jamilu Collins in August. One reason could be that Ebou Adams has not featured for Lamouchi’s men all season due to a leg injury, with the 27-year-old set to be back later this month.
