Barcelona will look to end they year on top of La Liga when they welcome local rivals Espanyol to Camp Nou in their Matchday 15 tie on Saturday evening.
Barcelona have made a good campaign in La Liga this season and are at the top of the league table at the moment, two points above their close rivals Real Madrid.
The Catalan giants will look to keep things this way heading into the new year and nothing other than a win will keep them at the pole of the table. They have won their last five league games and will look to maintain the momentum on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Espanyol have struggled in their league campaign thus far and are winless in their last five league games. They fell to a 1-0 away defeat against Villarreal last time around.
They however won their last fixture against Paso in the Copa del Rey and will look to draw confidence from that. They have not won at Camp Nou in their last 15 visits though, and thus a home should be considered.
