Arsenal vs Chelsea Match Analysis & Prediction

Arsenal and Chelsea resume hostilities for a Premier League London derby at the Emirates on Tuesday night, three days later than expected.
The match was meant to take place on Saturday evening. Still, due to a modification from the Metropolitan Police, it was shifted to a midweek kickoff, much to the chagrin of supporters.
When confronted with the end-of-season Manchester City juggernaut, who taught their former employee Mikel Arteta quite the footballing lesson in a 4-1 romp, Arsenal offered little to suggest that they can endure the course.
While the away supporters were able to celebrate a well-taken consolation goal from Rob Holding, their team’s title destiny is no longer in their own hands. Kevin De Bruyne’s brace, John Stones’ header, and Erling Braut Haaland’s record-breaking 33rd Premier League goal of the season all helped the reigning champions win convincingly.
Todd Boehly’s bizarre choice to bring Frank Lampard back to Stamford Bridge is not looking better with each passing week, as the Englishman’s losing skid increased to an unsettling five games when West London rivals Brentford visited and won 2-0.
In the 37th minute, the returning Cesar Azpilicueta scored an own goal, and 12 minutes from time, Bryan Mbeumo capitalized on Chelsea’s further profligacy with a skillfully taken second goal for the Bees, placing Lampard’s team, appropriately, in 12th place.

Arsenal Team News
William Saliba’s back condition is unlikely to be resolved in time for Chelsea’s visit, as Arteta acknowledged before Arsenal’s thrashing at the hands of Manchester United, and concerns are mounting that the center-back may not play another game this year.
While Arsenal may have left the Etihad with bruised egos, they did not pick up any new fitness concerns and should stick with a largely recognizable formula. Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny also watch from the sidelines with their season-ending knee injuries.

Chelsea Team News
Untimely injury concerns to important players also plague Chelsea. Mason Mount and Reece James have been sidelined for the rest of the season with pelvic and thigh issues, respectively, and Marc Cucurella could miss a few weeks with a thigh issue of his own.
While Kai Havertz (knee) and Kalidou Koulibaly (thigh) will both need a checkup, the latter should be cleared to play in the derby, Armando Broja (knee) and reverse goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli (unspecified) are keeping the trio company in the hospital.
