Alanyaspor vs Trabzonspor Match Analysis & Prediction
09/01/2023 8:00 pm
Alanyaspor will resume their domestic campaign on Monday looking for their first win this year when they host Trabzonspor in Turkish Super Lig action at Kirbiyik Holding Stadium.
While the hosts were beaten 4-1 by Kasimpasa last Wednesday, Trabzonspor moved to within two points of a European qualifying place through a 3-0 victory over Giresunspor.
On Wednesday, Alanyaspor showed their vulnerabilities as their direct attacking approach often left them short at the back, and Kasimpasa took advantage, scoring four goals against them despite only having 29% of the ball.
Alanyaspor have conceded the third-most goals in the Super Lig this season (31) though they have been a little better at home, posting two clean sheets in their last four domestic matches played in Alanya.
Meanwhile, the reigning champions Trabzonspor have had their share of struggles away from home, without a domestic victory on the road since October.
Abdullah Avci’s side have dropped four points from winning positions in two of their previous three league matches away from home, ending 2022 with a 4-1 defeat at Fatih Karagumruk.
However, Trabzonspor might be a team to watch out for in 2023, as they have not lost more than two league matches from January onwards in each of their last three domestic campaigns.
They have lost just one of their last seven matches against Alanyaspor in the Super Lig and are unbeaten against them as the visiting side in three straight games.

In the previous 13 meetings between these two sides, Alanyaspor have claimed five victories while Trabzonspor have won four, and they have drawn in four. Trabzonspor have scored 17 goals and conceded 18 in the process.
