22/09/2023 6:00 pm

Al Riyadh will be looking to end a four-game losing run when they host Al Fayha at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium on Friday in the Saudi Pro League.
The hosts are struggling at the bottom end of the table heading into this week;s encounter, while Al Fayha are also without a win in over four matches at the start of the new season.
Al Riyadh’s losing run in the league extended to four matches last Friday with a 6-1 defeat to current league leaders Al Hilal at a venue where both sides play their home games.
Yannick Ferrera’s side sit 16th in the league standings after picking up just four points from their opening six matches this season, with only Damac and Al Hazm earning fewer in the early weeks of the campaign.
The hosts have an issue at the back, with Al Riyadh conceding 16 goals in their first six games, three more than any other side in the division.
Meanwhile, Al Fayha come into this match after a disappointing start to their AFC Champions League campaign on Tuesday, losing 1-0 away at the Asgabat Stadiony against Ahal of Turkmenistan.
Things have not been working so great domestically either for the club, and apart from an opening-day victory over Al Khaleej on August 12, Al Fayha have not picked up a victory.
Sitting 10th in the league standings after picking up six points from as many matches, Vuk Rasovic’s side will be targeting Friday as an ideal time to collect their second maximum of the season, especially considerig that they face title-chasing Al Ittihad next week.
Former Rangers man Fashion Sakala scored the opener when Al Fayha earned a respectable draw an Neymar’s Al Hilal earlier in the campaign, with that point in Riyadh being their only positive result away from home this season.
