Al Hilal vs Damak Match Analysis & Prediction
16/03/2024 10:00 pm
Al Hilal will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings when they welcome Damak to the Kingdom Arena on Saturday night.
The hosts are the only side in the top flight that are still unbeaten after 23 league matches and enter this contest with 65 points to their name, while the visitors are in sixth position with 34 points to date.
Al Hilal are striding towards reclaiming the Saudi League title and after beating Al Ittihad 2-0 on the road last week, they pulled 12 points clear of their closest competitiors Al Nassr, who suffered an unexpected defeat to Al Raed.
With that result, the Blue Waves are now on an incredible 28-game winning run across all competitios and unbeaten in their last 36 matches, dating all the way back to their Arab Champions Cup defeat to Al-Alami in August.
Al the Kingdom Arena, Al Hilal are riding an 11-game league winning run, scoring two or more goals in all but one of those games and netting 13 in the last three matches alone.
Meanwhile, Damak are also in the midst of a productive season and if they are able to manage an against-the-odds victory here, they will surpuass the 36-point tally they managed across the entire of last season with 12 matches remaining.
Despite their improved form this season, they were in a bit of a slump with three defeats and a draw on either side of the international break before halting that run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at home to Al Wehda last week.
However, their performance in the game was far from convincing as they struggled to creat many clear-cut chances and required an own-goal by Abdulelah Al Bukhari to break the deadlock.
Al Hilal vs. Damak Head to head
In the nine previous meetings between these two teams, Al Hilal have claimed five victories while Damak have won one, and they have drawn in three. Damak have scored seven goals and conceded 16 in the process.

Al Hilal Team News
Al Hilal have just one confirmed absentee for this match, as Neymar has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a cruciate ligament tear.
Salman Al-Faraj was hooked before the hour mark in midweek against Al Ittihad, and he could drop to the bench here, potentially for Abdullah Al-Hamdan, who replaced his in that game.
