Accrington Stanley vs Boreham Wood Match Analysis & Prediction

17/01/2023 10:45 pm

Accrington Stanley and Boreham Wood will again meet in the FA Cup on Tuesday night, with the two teams aiming to secure their spot in the fourth round of the competition.
The two sides initially met on January 7 but could not be separated at the end of 90 minutes, with Lindokuhle Ndlovu cancelling out an opener from Accrington’s Ryan Astley in Hertfordshire.
Accrington have won twice since the 1-1 draw with Boreham Wood on January 7, beating Lincoln City on penalties in the EFL Trophy before claiming a 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers in Legue One on Saturday.
The Reds are currently 19th in the League One table on 25 points from their 24 matches, which has left them just one point outside of the relegation zone.
Accrington have other two league matches to come before the end of the month, facing Barnsley and Plymouth Argyle who are currently in the top six, so they will be huge tests.
John Coleman’s side were last present in the forth round of the FA Cup in 2018-19, when they were beaten by Derby County, and the hosts enter the replay as the favourites to progress.
Meanwhile, Boreham Wood enter Tuesday’s game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Notts County in the National League, leaving them in 11th place on 33 points.
The Wood have drawn each of their last three matches 1-1, with their last victory coming at home to Oldham Athletic in the National League at the start of December.
Luke Garrard’s side have had to win three matches to progress to this stage of the FA Cup, beating Wealdstone, Eastleigh and Bristol Rovers before the 1-1 draw with Accrington last time out.
Accrington Stanley vs. Boreham Wood Head to head

Accrington could be without the services of Aaron Pressley for this game, as he was forced off in 39th minute of the league game with Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Tommy Leigh could therefore come into the side, which would likely see Sean McConville move into a forward area for the hosts.
