AC Milan vs Torino Match Analysis & Prediction

AC Milan has lost four of five matches since exiting the Coppa Italia and will try to end its poor run with a victory over Torino on Friday. The Serie A champions are well off the title pace and face a scrap to finish inside the top four.
Last Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina saw an ailing Milan side trying to avoid losing to their city rivals again.
However, despite salvaging a draw at Lecce midway through last month, Supercoppa defeat in Saudi Arabia was followed by a 4-0 reverse at Lazio – and they were humbled at home by Sassuolo.
Successfully defending their Scudetto title was already a pipe dream – with Napoli sprinting off into the distance at the Serie A summit – but Inter’s 1-0 derby win started February in an increasingly familiar fashion.
Torino not only defeated Milan 2-1 in the reverse fixture but also won their most recent visit to the city (Coppa Italia, 16th round).
In that match, despite going down to 10 men and eventually losing extra time, Michel Adopo scored an unlikely winner for Toro with a 114th-minute goal.
Since then, Torino may have been eliminated from the cup by Fiorentina, but in Serie A, they staged a late fightback and drew 2-2 at Empoli before edging out one of their fellow contenders for a place in the top 7 (Udinese).

AC Milan Team News
Milan is expected to continue with their new 3-5-2 formation when they host Lazio on Friday. They will still be without several key men, though. First-choice selections Ismael Bennacer (thigh), Fikayo Tomori (hip) and goalkeeper Mike Maignan (calf) are all on the sidelines, and the trio will instead aim to be ready for the first leg against Tottenham.
