Second-placed AC Milan will look to continue putting the pressure on Serie A leaders when they square off with Roma at San Siro in their Matchday 17 tie on Sunday night.
The champions have been playing catch up to Napoli this season in the the title race, but they did well to put some pressure on the leaders with a last-gasp 2-1 won over Salernitana last time out.
Milan are now five points behind Napoli and they will be looking for another positive result on Sunday as they hope to reduce the gap. They have not lost to Roma in their last five Serie A games, picking up four wins in the run including a 3-1 in the corresponding fixture last season and should fancy their chances of maintaining the run.
Roma, meanwhile, have once again gone through the motions this season with 30 points in 16 games. They have won nine times and languish in sixth place in the top-flight standings.
The Giallorossi started the new year with a 1-0 defeat of Bologna. Lorenzo Pellegrini’s sixth-minute penalty was enough to earn them their first league win in four games.
