AC Milan vs Cremonese Match Analysis & Prediction

After picking up one point in their most recent Serie A matches, AC Milan and Cremonese will be looking to return to winning ways when they meet at San Siro on Wednesday night.
While the hosts are battling for Champions League qualification, their visitors need nothing short of a miracle to avoid relegation from Serie A.
AC Milan extended their unbeaten run across all competitions to seven matches after playing out a 1-1 draw away against Roma last weekend, their third draw by that scoreline in their last four games.
The Rossoneri have slipped out of the top four and down to fifth place in the table, although on goal difference after Inter claimed a 3-1 victory over second-placed Lazio.
Stefano Pioli’s side have put together a seven-game unbeaten run at San Siro, keeping six clean sheets in the process, and they will be hoping to have more joy on home soil on Wednesday against a Cremonese side whom they beat 7-1 in their last Serie A home meeting back in May 1996.
After losing 2-0 on aggregate to Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia semi-finals, Cremonese were forced to play out a 1-1 Serie A draw at home against relegation rivals Hellas Verona on Sunday.
Despite edging a point closer to 17th-placed Spezia, the Grigorossi remain 19th in the table and sit seven points adrift of safety with six matches remaining, and hopes of survival are slim considering four of their final six games are against teams sitting in the top eight.
Cremonese have picked up as many points away from home as they have on home soil (10) so far this season, with four points collected in their last three away matches.
Davide Ballaedini’s side can also take confidence from the goalless draw played out with Milan on home soil in November, and another resilient performance will be required if they are to secure a positive result on Wednesday.
AC Milan vs. Cremonese Head to head
In the eight previous meetings between these two teams, AC Milan have claimed five victories while Cremonese have won one, and they have drawn in two. Cremonese have scored four goals and conceded 17 in the process.

AC Milan Team News
AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori is a doubt after coming off at half time against Roma with a hamstring injury, while Alessandro Florenzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tommaso Pobega all remain in the treatment room.
The potential absence of Tomori could see either Malick Thiaw, Pierre Kalulu or Matteo Gabbia handed a start in central defence alongside Simon Kjaer.
