Aberdeen vs Livingston Match Analysis & Prediction
15/05/2024 9:45 pm
Aberdeen play host to Livingston on Wednesday night looking to further strengthen their hold of seventh position in the Scottish Premiership standings.
Meanwhile, Livingston make the trip to the Pittodrie Stadium having already been relegated, but still looking to end the season on a high.
With Peter Leven having been required to undergo a hip operation recently, Aberdeen’s outstanding form could have potentially dropped off during the run-in.
However, with their interim manager back in the dugout on Sunday, their impressive run continued as the thrashed Hibernian 4-0 at Easter Road.
As well as the result being impressive in isolation, Aberdeen have now posted three successive victories and put together a run of five matches without conceding a goal.
Just one goal has been conceded in an unbeaten streak of seven matches when 17 points have been picked up, putting the club a point clear in the race for seventh.
With 12th and 10th place to come, Leven and the club’s supporters will have every confidence that they will deliver the best possible finish after the cut-off.
Meanwhile, having spent much of the season with just three league wins to their name, it has been accepted for some time that Livingston would be playing second tier football in 2024-25.
Nevertheless, David Martindale’s side have shown some resilience of late, posting victories over Ross County and St Johnstone at their home ground.
Although there was a 4-1 defeat at Motherwell in between, it has at least added some respectability to their record, now sitting just seven points adrift of St Johnstone in 11th position.
