Poland will lock horns with Slovakia in a group E encounter of the EURO 2020. The match is scheduled to kick off on Monday 14th June 2021 16.00 at Gazprom Stadium in St. Petersburg.
Euro 2016 quarter finalists Poland won eight of 10 qualifying matches to top of their group comfortably and secure a place at the EURO 2020. This time they will be hoping to go even further than they did 5 years ago. On the other hand Slovakia reached the knock out stage of the Euro 2016 an exciting achievement for a team expected to be eliminated in the group stage. They will be looking forward to defy the odds once again after the interesting triumph over Northern Ireland that saw them qualify for the second successive European Championship.
Slovakia is the underdogs in Group E at the moment and has plenty of work to do ahead of the fixtures. The away side held Austria 0-0 stalemate last week and they will need to take it up a notch in this match. Poland has been on and off the past year and will need to be at their very best over the next two weeks.
The man to keep an eye on this match could be the outstanding Lewandowsky top score in the Europe this season.
We expect a slow and careful match with two or less goals in fulltime since it’s still the opening of the competition.
