The Netherlands will look to get one step closer to booking their place in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals when they travel to Warsaw to face Poland on Thursday, with kickoff at 9:45 pm.
Poland kicked off their campaign in the UEFA Nations League with a 2-1 victory over Wales at home in June.
Since then, however, they have been unable to secure another win. They drew 2-2 away against the Netherlands before suffering two defeats against Belgium—a 6-1 thrashing in Brussels and a 4-0 beating at home.
Czeslaw Michniewicz has been leading the team since January and will be looking to guide his side to success at the 2018 World Cup in Qatar, but he faces an uphill struggle to finish first in their group after they sit third with four points from as many matches.
The Netherlands have won three and drawn one of their first four matches in League A Group 4 of the UEFA Nations League and are in an excellent position to progress to the semi-finals.
After beating Belgium 4-1 in their opener, they were held to two draws by Poland and Wales before eventually securing all three points against both sides with late goals. In other matches, they drew 0-0 with Germany on Thursday.
