Peterborough vs Bournemouth match Analysis and Prediction

Peterborough are set to take on Bournemouth this Wednesday as they host the match at the ABAX Stadium. The hosts head into the game fresh off the back of a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Coventry City.

Peterborough will be aiming to avoid a defeat for the fourth time in what will be their 10th game of the season. They have lost five of their last six matches, the exception being a 3-0 win against Birmingham City last time out at home.

That was then followed by a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Coventry in the weekend fixture on the away encounter. Darren Ferguson’s men have now picked up three points from the last 18 available and this underwhelming run of results sees them occupy 21st position in the Championship table.

Bournemouth on the other hand, never gets tired of delighting its fans with successful performances this season. After 9 games, they have 21 points in their assets in the second position after the yesterday’s encounter West Brom preceded to the top with a one point difference.

Bournemouth have made a positive start to life under Scott Parker and it’s easy to note that they are the promotion favorites at this far to the top flight. The Cherries are without defeat in their opening nine games and have won the last four of those, most recent came against Luton Town at the weekend fixture in the match ending in a 2-1 victory for Bournemouth.

Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke were in the score sheet for Parker’s men in the first half, with both of those goals assisted by Ryan Christie before Lloyd Kelly’s own goal. While Bournemouth have not quite been perfect, having dropped points against West Brom, Blackpool and Hull City, they are the only side yet to trail.
