Both Pacos Ferreira and Vizela will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they face off at the Estadio Capital do Movel in a close Primeira Liga encounter with kickoff at 21:00.

Pacos Ferreira have had a difficult 2022 with the side yet to win a game this year and were left empty handed in their previous Primeira Liga encounter as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Braga at away with Vitorino Antunes’ halftime goal proving to be a mere consolation for Pacos.

Cesar Peixoto’s men have now gone winless in their last six matches, picking up four draws and suffering two defeats in the process, while they have managed to claim only two victories from their last 16 matches across all competitions and as a result Peixito’s side has dropped into the bottom half, sitting in the 13^th level on 21 points with the 12^th-placed Boavista and are just two points above the relegation zone.

Their poor attack has been a major problem for the hosts who boast the league’s second-worst record with 16 goals so far and will need to work on their finish if they are to avoid a relegation scrap.

They will however, draw confidence from their strong form against their visitors a they have not lost to Vizela in their last five encounters claiming three wins and two draw and will want to extend that run.

Meanwhile Vizela have also made an inconsistent run this season but Alvaro Pacheco and co will be delighted where they stand currently. They sit in 11^th in the standing on 23 points from 22 matches with just four points outside the top-half, which is impressive for a newly-promoted side.

Vezelenses failed to return to winning ways in the previous league fixture as they succumbed to a slender 1-0 defeat against Gil Vicente at home last Sunday with Fran Navarro’s first-half penalty sealing the deal for Vicente.

The defeat ended their three-match unbeaten run which saw them record 3-2 back-to-back wins against Tondela and Guimaraes before picking up a point in the thrilling 2-2 draw against Boavista at away on Feb sixth.

Vizela will now be looking to bounce back to winning ways as another slip-up could be a blow to their campaign as they sit four points above the relegation zone and two above their Saturday opponents.
