Pacos de Ferreira vs Tondela Match Analysis and Prediction

Round 32 of the Portuguese Primeira Liga comes to an end on Monday when Pacos de Ferreira will take on Tondela at the Capital do Movel Municipal Stadium.

The Gold and Greens will be desperate to get one over the hosts having lost each of the last five meetings between the sides since 2018, and could move out of the relegation zone with all three points.

Pacos de Ferreira continue to struggle for form on the road in the Primeira Liga as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Gil Vicente when the sides met last Saturday.

Cesar Peixeto’s side have now picked up just one point from their last three away games, losing to Sporting Lisbon and Vitoria de Guimaraes in that time, while conceding seven goals and scoring just once.

However, the Pacenses will be more than glad as they return home, where they are on a two-game winning run and are unbeaten in six of their most recent seven matches.

With 37 points from 21 matches, Pacos de Ferreira are currently eighth in the Primeira Liga standings, level on points with seventh-placed Maritimo with three games remaining.

Meanwhile, Tondela failed to move out of the relegation zone last Sunday when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Vitoria de Guimaraes at the Estadio Joao Cardoso.

Prior to that, Nuno Campos’ side secured their place in the Taca de Portugal final for the first time in their history with a 1-1 draw against Mafra in the second leg of their semi-final tie after claiming a 3-0 victory in the reverse leg in March.

While Tondela will be looking to end their dry spell and boost their survival chances, next up is a side they have lost against in each of their last five meetings since a 2-0 victory back in 2018.
