Norwich City will be looking to extend their winning streak to four matches now across all competitions when they welcome Crystal Palace to Carrow Road for a crucial Premier League fixture on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Norwich City endured a difficult start back to the Premier League with the side sitting at bottom of the table for most of the first half of the season and even after replacing their manager with Dean Smith they looked destined for an immediate return to the championship come next season.
However, the Canaries have been enjoying a fine run of results in the recent weeks with Smith’s side claiming four victories from their last five matches across all competitions and are coming off a three-match winning streak that includes back-to-back wins in the top tier and the hard fought 1-0 win against Wolves in the FA Cup last weekend.
As a result Norwich will be progressing to the next round of the FA cup and have moved out of the relegation zone as they now sit a place and a point outside the drop zone, although they have played at least one match more than the bottom-three. Therefore, the hosts will be looking to maintain their recent form as they aim at staying out of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile Crystal Palace have made an inconsistent campaign this season with club managing to claim 24 points from their 22 matches and a run of just four points from their last five matches has seen Patrick Vieira’s side slip down into the 13th spot nine points above the relegation zone and two outside the top-half.
However, the Eagles head into the match in high spirits as they are coming off a 2-0 victory against Hartlepool United in the fourth round of the FA Cup and Vieira will hoping that his side will use the confidence from the victory to bounce back in the Premier League.
Palace are unbeaten in their last six encounters with the Canaries and he last time the two met in the reverse fixture this season Palace claimed a 3-0 victory and hey will be keen to replicate the result here as their aim at climbing into the top-half.
