International football returns with Norway taking against Netherlands in the 2022 world cup qualifiers. The new era of Louis Van Gaal as the manager of the Dutch begins when they travel to Norway for the fourth match at the Ullevaal Stadion this Wednesday the September 1^st.

Netherlands are among the best teams in Europe at the moment whereas Norway are counted among the underdogs as they come to this match. The visitors have been in an impressive form in the Euros while the Norwegians did not even make it to the continental competition.

Group G is the richest group in World Cup qualifying with the Netherlands and Norway locked on six points each and Van Gaal will be looking forward to justify his return as the Dutch manager after the stepping down of Frank de Boer just after the Euro’s elimination by Czech Republic.

Van Gaal has had mixed success with the Oranje, having failed to qualify for the 2002 World Cup during his first stint in charge, before finishing third in 2014 during his second spell and will lead Netherlands to the world cup since 2014.

Norway, unlike Netherlands, failed to qualify for the Euro 2020 and have not completed at a major tournament since Euro 2000. Erling Haaland has brought the Norwegian fans hopes being one of the worlds demanded forwards and they are yet to have him lead them to the world cup.

The two teams, who both have six points from their opening three group games, will meet for the 21st time and for the first time since 2009.
