Both Nice and Nantes will be looking to extend their unbeaten runs across all competitions when they lock horns at the Allianz Arena in an important Ligue 1 fixture on Friday night with kickoff at 23:00.
Nice have made an impressive campaign this season with the club claiming 11 wins, four draws and five defeats from their 20 matches to collect 36 points, which have left them sitting in the second place, level on point with Marseille in the third and are 11 points behind PSG at the summit.
Christophe Galtier’s side head into the match in a good form as they have only lost one of their last six matches across all competitions and are coming off a four-match winning streak including victories against Rennes, Lens and Brest in the league and Choletais in the Coupe de France.
They will therefore be looking to make four-wins in a row in Ligue 1 on the bounce as they aim at keeping their status in the league standings.
Meanwhile Nantes have made a pretty solid campaign this season despite being on and off from time to time. They have recorded eight wins, five draws and seven defeats in their 20 matches to collect 29 points, which have left them sitting in the ninth spot, level on point with the eight-placed Strasbourg and just three points outside the top four.
That means that a win on Friday for Antoine Kombouare’s side would potentially leave them in the Champions League places and therefore, they will be looking for the crucial three points in the fixture but they face Nice, a side they have not beaten their last three meetings and have failed to get maximum points in their last four visits to Allianz Arena.
However, they are in a good form as they have not lost in any of their last six matches across all competitions and did well to hold Monaco to a 0-0 draw in their last Ligue 1 fixture on Sunday. They are also in a good away form having lost none of their last four matches on the road and will be looking to keep the momentum going on Friday.
