Napoli will look to extend their impressive start to the new campaign when they welcome Spezia to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for their Serie A Matchday Six tie on Saturday.
Napoli have made strong start to the new Serie A campaign and are one of the four undefeated sides in the league. In the opening five games, Napoli have recorded three victories and two draws which translate to 11 points that have them sitting second in the league standings currently.
Luciano Spalletti’s side claimed a hard fought 2-1 win over Lazio at away in their previous league match last Saturday. The victory saw them bounce back from back-to-back draws to Fiorentina and Lecce, and they will be looking to keep the momentum going.
They drew global admiration for their midweek heroics in Europe as they stunned Liverpool 4-1 in the Champions League. They went ahead 3-0 by halftime which is surely impressive against a side like Liverpool. The win will surely do their confidence a great deal as they seek to keep their graph going up.
Meanwhile Spezia have had a difficult start to the Serie A campaign as they have so far just won one of their five matches, while drawing and losing two each in the process and they currently sit 14th on five points.
They currently remain winless since their opening day win and are coming off a 2-2 draw against Bologna at home last weekend. They will take some positives from draw and will look to build on it as they seek to bounce back on Saturday.
Last season the Lugurians managed to claim a 1-0 win over Napoli at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and will seek to draw confidence from that, but Napoli have currently not lost in their last seven home matches and Spezia will need to be on top of their game if they are to come away with anything from the showdown.
