Napoli will look to end their three-match winless run in Serie A when they welcome a currently struggling Sassuolo to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona for their Matchday 35 tie on Saturday evening with kickoff at 16:00.
Napoli suffered another major setback in the race for the title as they went down 3-2 to Empoli last Sunday. They have now failed to win their last three Serie A matches drawing one and losing two in the process.
The dip in form has seen Napoli find themselves on the outside edge of Serie A title race as they now sit seven points behind AC Milan at the summit of the table with four matches remaining to go. To stand a chance of clinching the Scudetto this season Napoli need to end their slump and perhaps win all their remaining games.
Also, Napoli need a win this weekend to keep their place in the standings as Juventus sit just a point behind them, and win will also seal their top-four finish as they currently are nine points above the fifth-placed Roma.
Meanwhile Sassuolo were left empty-handed again in Serie A last time out as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Juventus at home last Monday night. They have now suffered three defeats in their last four league matches and are coming off back-to-back defeats.
This has continued their inconsistent campaign and they still sit at the middle of the table on 46 points from 34 matches, two points above the 11th-placed Torino. With four matches remaining to go Sassuolo need to win to keep their top-half spot.
The fixture is a bit unpredictable with both sides being in similar forms, however, Napoli need the three points more and could attempt to go for the win here.
